The Black Dahlia Murder - Nightbringers

With Nightbringers, The Black Dahlia Murder continue to produce average quality melodeath, with nothing beyond the genre’s basics. As with each album, the band perform as tightly as ever on each song, progressing through a well-organized series of melodic death metal motifs and being sure to capture a variety of methods with intent as they segue from each section to the next. This might give a misleading idea of how diverse this album is, however, because it is not. The Black Dahlia Murder have delivered exactly what anyone aware of them would reasonably predict them to deliver: a quick riffing through essentially randomly scrambled death metal tunes rife with clinical guitar work exemplary of the genre and of the band’s consistently safe career.
